Very predictable result when third ranked Kouvot (10-3) won against 9th ranked Kataja (4-8) in Kouvola 105-94. The game was mostly controlled by Kouvot. Kataja was better in third quarter 29-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 31-of-36 charity shots (86.1 percent) during the game. Kataja was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Deshon Taylor (188-96, college: Fresno St.) stepped up and scored 29 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners and American-Syrian guard Amir Hinton (196-97, college: Shaw) chipped in 24 points and 8 rebounds. Four Kouvot players scored in double figures.
