Regular Season Round 13: Vilpas - Kauhajoki 76-65

Second defeat of league's leader Kauhajoki (11-2) against eighth ranked Vilpas (6-7) 76-65 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Kauhajoki. The game was mostly controlled by Vilpas. Kauhajoki managed to win third quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Jeremiah Wood (200-85, agency: Inception Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Power forward Bryan Griffin (203-98, college: Xavier, agency: Inception Sports) contributed with 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Vilpas players scored in double figures. Forward Lee Skinner (198-92, college: Wofford) answered with 20 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Rene Rougeau (198-86, college: UNLV, agency: Blacktop Management) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Kauhajoki. Defending champion moved-up to seventh place. Kauhajoki at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Seagulls who have the same record. Kauhajoki will play next round against Kobrat trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Vilpas will try to continue on its current victory against twelfth ranked Korihait in Uusikaupunki.
