No shocking result in a game in Mahon where seventh ranked Menorca (5-3) smashed 11th ranked Zentro Basket (2-6) 85-62 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Diego Alderete (197-0) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and French center Thomas Smallwood (213-95, college: Chattanooga) who added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Menorca players scored in double figures. American forward Zachary Tavitian (203-99, college: W.New England) responded with 10 points and Senegalese center Pape Bocar Sall (211-1) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. Zentro Basket's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Menorca moved-up to sixth place in Silver. Newly promoted Zentro Basket keeps the eleventh position with six games lost. Menorca will meet Gran Canaria 2 (#10) in the next round. Zentro Basket will play against Mollet and hope to secure a win.
