Regular Season Round 13: Lancut - Tychy 97-85

Second defeat of league's leader Tychy (11-2) against third ranked Sokol (11-2) 97-85 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Tychy. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Sokol shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 66.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Tychy's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Sokol made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Jacek Jarecki (196-88) who helped to win the game recording 28 points. Point guard Marcin Nowakowski (184-89) contributed with 9 points and 17 assists for the winners. Radoslaw Trubacz (196-94) answered with 21 points and point guard Piotr Wieloch (182-94) added 13 points and 4 assists in the effort for Tychy. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sokol keeps a position of league leader, which they share with defeated Tychy. Tychy will play next round against WKK Wroclaw trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Sokol will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
