Bottom-ranked SDUSHOR (0-12) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 99-62 loss to ninth ranked Grodno GrSU (2-10) in Minsk on Saturday evening. The game without a history. Grodno GrSU led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to SDUSHOR's 38. Grodno GrSU forced 38 SDUSHOR turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Sergey Lemeshevskiy (193-1) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 7 rebounds and forward Dmitriy Naumenko (195-3) who added 15 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five Grodno GrSU players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Aleksander Lavrenov (195-4) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 18 rebounds and forward Andrei Babkou (206-5) scored 5 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Grodno GrSU maintains ninth position with 2-10 record. Loser SDUSHOR still closes the standings with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
