The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Rycerze as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Rycerze defeated 6th ranked Zary in Rydzyna 105-89. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Zary. They outrebounded Zary 40-29 including 28 on the defensive glass. Rycerze players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. Center Szymon Milczynski (204-93) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and swingman Stanferd Sanny (186-94) chipped in 17 points and 7 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). At the losing side Maciej Leszczynski (192-99) responded with 25 points and 5 assists and power forward Mateusz Stawiak (203-96) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Five Rycerze and four Zary players scored in double figures. The victory was the eleventh consecutive win for Rycerze. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with LKS Lodz and Poznan. Zary at the other side keeps the sixth place with four games lost. Zary will play next round against Olesnica trying to get back on the winning streak. Rycerze will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Prudnik on the road.
