Everything could happen in Warszawa at the game between two tied teams. Both fourteenth ranked Zak and 13th ranked Dziki had identical 3-8 record. But Dziki was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Koszalin 87-74 on Saturday night. Zak looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Naturalized American center Darrell Harris (208-84, college: URI) nailed a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side and naturalized American swingman Fineto Lungwana (190-94, college: Erskine) accounted for 18 points. Zak's coach Piotr Ignatowicz used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Bartosz Majewski (192-97) came up with 20 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Grzegorz Grochowski (180-93) added 7 points, 8 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals respectively for Dziki in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Zak (4-8) moved-up to thirteenth place. Dziki lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth position with nine games lost. They share it with Lowicz. Zak will meet Ksiezak (#15) in the next round. Dziki will play against Turow in Zgorzelec and hope to secure a win.
