Everything went according to plan when eighth ranked Ponzano (4-4) outscored on the road 10th ranked Vicenza (2-5) 61-40 on Saturday. Ponzano held Vicenza to an opponent 23.4 percent shooting from the field compared to 37.1 percent accuracy of the winners. Ponzano forced 21 Vicenza turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Greta Brunelli (178-90) who scored 19 points. Point guard Viviana Giordano (175-89) chipped in 9 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Ponzano's coach Anna Zimerle felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Argentinian Gisel Villarruel (175-94) who recorded 18 points and guard Federica Monaco (175-93) added 5 points and 9 rebounds respectively.
