Regular Season Round 10: Fos-Provence - ASVEL 67-88

Very predictable result when third ranked ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (7-4) rolled over 12th ranked Provence Basket (4-6) in Fos-sur-Mer 88-67 on Saturday. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American guard Chris Jones (188-93, college: Angelo St.) notched 13 points and 6 assists to lead the effort and international forward William Howard (203-93) supported him with 14 points and 4 assists. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket's coach Terence Parker felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 24 points by American-Liberian Lasan Kromah (198-91, college: UConn) did not help to save the game for Provence Basket. Center Bodian Massa (205-97) added 10 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Defending champion maintains third position with 7-4 record having just one point less than leader Levallois. Newly promoted Provence Basket keeps the twelfth place with six games lost. They share the position with Dijon and Orleans. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket will meet Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#5) on the road in the next round. Provence Basket will play against the league's leader Metropolitans (#1) and hope to secure a win.
