Regular Season Round 10: Ragusa - Torrenova 83-75

There was a small surprise when seventh ranked Ragusa (6-4) beat at home one of their biggest challengers Torrenova (7-3) 83-75 on Sunday. Power forward Paolo Rotondo (204-89, agency: Players Group) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Guard Andrea Sorrentino (190-90) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds. Four Ragusa players scored in double figures. Forward Dario Zucca (203-96) produced a double-double by scoring 31 points and 16 rebounds and guard Sebastiano Perin (187-96) added 18 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Ragusa moved-up to fifth place in B, which they share with Vicenza and Bergamo. Loser Torrenova keeps the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Fiorenzuola and San Vendemiano. Ragusa will meet Formia (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Torrenova will play against Salerno (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
