Everything went according to plan when second ranked Imola (8-2) beat at home 11th ranked Faenza (4-6) 71-64 on Sunday. Imola forced 19 Faenza turnovers. Strangely Faenza outrebounded Imola 43-30 including 29 on the defensive glass. Point guard Emanuele Trapani (182-99) fired 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Forward Kevin Cusenza (200-93) chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds. Giovanni Poggi (201-97) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized Argentinian guard Sebastian Vico (190-86) added 13 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Imola maintains second position in B with 8-2 record behind leader Roseto, which they share with Cremona. Loser Faenza dropped to the ninth place with six games lost. They share the position with Desio and Olginate. Imola will meet Civitanova (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Faenza will play against Giulianova (#13) and hope to secure a win.
