No shocking result in a game in Logrono where eighth ranked Moron (4-4) edged 14th ranked Clavijo (1-7) 59-56 on Sunday. Moron forced 21 Clavijo turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Antonio Burgos (201-0) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and Cuban-Belgian point guard Sigfredo Casero-Ortiz (185-97) who added 12 points and 4 steals during the contest. Ukrainian forward Yevgen Sakhniuk (201-95, college: Jefferson) responded with 13 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Gerard Jofresa (183-1) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Moron moved-up to seventh place in Silver. Loser Clavijo keeps the fourteenth position with seven games lost. Moron will meet at home higher ranked Zamora (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Clavijo will play against Navarra (#9) in Pamplona and hope to win that game.
