Regular Season Round 7: Rishon LZ - Holon 88-83

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Rishon LZ (5-1) beat 7th ranked Holon (2-5) in Rishon Le-Zion 88-83. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Rishon LZ forced 21 Holon turnovers. American players dominated the game. It was a great evening for guard Jennie Simms (183-94, college: ODU) who led her team to a victory scoring 37 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Kristi Bellock (186-90, college: Texas A&M) helped adding 16 points and 12 rebounds. At the losing side center Danielle Adams (185-89, college: Texas A&M) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds and center Kelsey Bone (193-91, college: Texas A&M) scored 21 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rishon LZ maintains second place with 5-1 record behind leader M.Haifa. Holon at the other side dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. Rishon LZ will play against Ramla (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Holon will play against Tel Aviv and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
