The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of IR (8-1) in Reykjavik on Tuesday night. Hosts were edged by fourth ranked KR (6-3) 73-70. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of IR. IR trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 26-17 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 70-73 at the end of the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Angel Robinson (170-89, college: Marquette) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 32 points and 13 rebounds. Forward Fanney Ragnarsdottir (170-96) contributed with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Power forward Danielle Reinwald (183-95) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 25 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Irena Jonsdottir (161-97) added 14 points in the effort for IR. KR have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Thor AK. IR at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. KR is looking forward to face Thor AK (#4) in Akureyri in the next round. IR will play on the road against Snaefell in Stykkisholmur and is hoping to win this game.
