There was a minor upset when 12th ranked Padova V. (3-8) was defeated on the road by fifteenth ranked Crema (3-8) 75-69 on Wednesday. Crema made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for guard Stefano Cernivani (185-91) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 5 assists. Naturalized Senegalese center Fadilou Seck (207-97, agency: Players Group) helped adding 12 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Nicolo Pellicano (182-2) responded with 25 points and 5 steals and the former international point guard Francesco De Nicolao (185-93) scored 9 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Crema moved-up to fourteenth place in B, which they share with defeated Padova V. Padova V. lost their third game in a row. Crema will meet higher ranked Bergamo (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Padova V. will play against Monfalcone (#9) and hope to secure a win.
