Regular Season Round 11: Dijon - Nanterre 85-79
Date: December 10, 2021
Very predictable result when seventh ranked Dijon (7-3) defeated at home 16th ranked Nanterre (2-9) 85-79 on Friday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Dijon made 29-of-36 free shots (80.6 percent) during the game, while Nanterre only scored eleven points from the stripe. Dijon looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was Ilias Kamardine (193-3) who scored 21 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Point guard Clovis Gaduel (183-3) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. Power forward William Gneze (200-1) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and guard Zulemie Nathan (187-4) added 11 points, 8 assists and 4 steals respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Dijon. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Pau-Lacq-Orthez. Nanterre lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixteenth position with nine games lost. They share it with Paris BA. Dijon will meet higher ranked Bourg (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nanterre will play against the league's leader ASVEL (#1) in Villeurbanne and hope to secure a win.
