Regular Season Round 15: Toulouse - Rennes 77-66

Very expected game when 13th ranked Union Rennes (4-11) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Toulouse (9-6) 77-66 on Friday. Toulouse outrebounded Union Rennes 33-22 including 21 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Adrien Thimon (188-94) who scored 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. American power forward Ron Anderson Jr (203-89, college: S.Florida) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds. Toulouse's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Ivorian point guard Bryan Pamba-Juille (186-92) who recorded 24 points and 6 assists and forward Mohamad Diop (204-99) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Toulouse moved-up to fifth place in Group A, which they share with Vitre. Loser Union Rennes dropped to the twelfth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Challans. Toulouse will meet La Rochelle (#8) on the road in the next round. Union Rennes will play against Vendee Challans (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
