Very predictable result in Fos-sur-Mer where first ranked Metropolitans (10-1) smashed 12th ranked Provence Basket (4-7) 98-73 on Friday. Metropolitans dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Provence Basket's 40. Metropolitans had a 31-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. The best player for the winners was international point guard David Michineau (191-94) who scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Bosnian forward Miralem Halilovic (205-91, agency: PEPI SPORT) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Four Metropolitans players scored in double figures. Metropolitans' coach Vincent Collet felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American-Liberian Lasan Kromah (198-91, college: UConn) produced 18 points and center Bodian Massa (205-97) added 9 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Metropolitans have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They maintain first place with 10-1 record. Provence Basket lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fourteenth position with seven games lost. Metropolitans will meet at home Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#4) in the next round.
