Regular Season Round 12: Medvescak - Zaprude 67-73

Bottom-ranked Medvescak (0-12) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 73-67 loss to tenth ranked Zaprude (3-9) in Zagreb on Saturday evening. They also forced 19 Medvescak turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Dorian Jelenek (200-95) who helped to win the game recording 39 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds and forward Filip Stanic (196-90, college: Campbellsville) who added 10 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Luka Skoric (188-3) with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and forward Renato Serdarusic (196-1) scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Zaprude moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Samobor. Newly promoted Medvescak still closes the standings with 12 games lost. Zaprude will meet at home higher ranked Kastela (#4) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Medvescak will play against Kvarner 2010 (#5) in Rijeka and hopes to get finally their first victory.
