Regular Season Round 14: Estepona - Jairis 70-63

The most important game in the last round took place in between third ranked Jairis (10-4) and eighth ranked Estepona (7-7) on Saturday night. Jairis was defeated by Estepona in a tough game on the road 63-70. Estepona forced 19 Jairis turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Montenegrin center Ana Pocek (190-93) had a double-double by scoring 11 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Ariana Moorer (172-91, college: Virginia) chipped in 15 points and 10 assists during the contest. Four Estepona players scored in double figures. Brazilian center Erika De Souza (197-82) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Beatriz Royo (176-91, agency: Promo Sport ID) scored 7 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Estepona moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Ardoi. Jairis lost third consecutive game. They keep the third position with four games lost. They share it with Zamarat and Granada. Estepona is looking forward to face league's leader Alcobendas on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Jairis will play against Real Canoe and is hoping to win this game.
