There was no surprise in Zagreb where 9th ranked Mursa (2-8) was crushed by second ranked Medvescak (8-1) 79-48 on Saturday. Medvescak forced 23 Mursa turnovers and outrebounded them 45-25 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Mursa's players. International guard Ana Petrak (168-98) had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 assists to lead the charge for the winners and international forward Andjela Strize (175-99) chipped in 13 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four Medvescak players scored in double figures. At the losing side Petra Simunic (-93) responded with 22 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Magdalena Mihaljevic (176-3) scored 16 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Medvescak have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 8-1 record behind leader Tresnjevka. Mursa at the other side dropped to the tenth place with eight games lost. Medvescak's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Zagreb to the arena Tresnjevka.
