Regular Season Round 11: Viladecans - Azulejos 69-50

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Viladecans as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Group B. Viladecans smashed 12th ranked Azulejos at home 69-50. Viladecans forced 20 Azulejos turnovers. It was a great evening for power forward Silvia Marcelo (188-93) who led her team to a victory scoring 16 points and 9 rebounds. Marta Guerrero (-92) helped adding 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Ana Relancio (-1) responded with 9 points and 6 rebounds and guard Saray Garces (172-94) scored 14 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Azulejos lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh place with eight games lost. They share the position with Almeda. Azulejos will play next round against Marratxi trying to get back on the winning streak. Viladecans will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Castello at Castellon.
