Tenth-ranked Ogniwo Szcz. (4-9) made lots of trouble for second ranked Notec Inowr. (12-2) in Inowroclaw on Sunday. Notec Inowr. managed to secure only two-point victory 76-74. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ogniwo Szcz.. Notec Inowr. forced 21 Ogniwo Szcz. turnovers. Strangely Ogniwo Szcz. outrebounded Notec Inowr. 57-29 including a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Mikolaj Grod (194-89) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Mateusz Stanczuk (194-0) chipped in 10 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Notec Inowr.'s coach Piotr Wisniewski used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Karol Nowacki (194-91) responded with a triple-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds and 12 assists and center Karol Pytys (202-85) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Notec Inowr. maintains second position with 12-2 record behind leader Poznan, which they share with Zubry and LKS Lodz. Loser Ogniwo Szcz. dropped to the eleventh place with nine games lost. They share the position with KKS Basket and Stal Ostrow 2. Notec Inowr. will meet Astoria (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ogniwo Szcz. will play against Tarnovia and hope to secure a win.
