Regular Season Round 8: Holon - Tel Aviv 97-65

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked Tel Aviv's (1-6) road loss to eighth ranked Holon (3-5) 65-97 on Monday. Holon looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Tel Aviv's players. The best player for the winners was international forward Danielle Raber (183-96) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 21 rebounds and 8 assists. American center Danielle Adams (185-89, college: Texas A&M) chipped in a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds. Five Holon players scored in double figures. Holon's coach Roi Aizinberg felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Kiara Leslie (183-95, college: NC State) produced 23 points and 7 rebounds and her fellow American import guard Dijonai Carrington (180-98, college: Baylor) added 20 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the guests. Holon moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Ramla and Petah Tikva. Tel Aviv lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the bottom position with six games lost. Holon will meet Ramla (#7) on the road in the next round. Tel Aviv will play against Ramat G. and hope to win that game.
