Regular Season Round 11: Champagne - CFBB 64-62

Eleventh-ranked CFBB (2-9) made lots of trouble for fourth ranked Champagne (8-3) in Reims on Wednesday. Champagne managed to secure only two-point victory 64-62. However their fans expected much easier game. Champagne forced 20 CFBB turnovers. It was a great evening for Estonian power forward Maaja Bratka (190-92, agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory scoring 19 points. Point guard Melanie Devaux (172-92, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) helped adding 10 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Manoe Cisse (161-4) responded with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Leila Lacan (174-4) scored 13 points and 4 assists. CFBB's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Champagne moved-up to second place, which they share with Toulouse and SIG. Loser CFBB dropped to the tenth position with nine games lost. They share it with Calais. Champagne will meet at home Aulnoye (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. CFBB will play against the league's second-placed SIG and hope to secure a win.
