Regular Season Round 10: Tindastoll - Thor Thorl 66-109

An interesting game for Thor Thorl (8-2) which played road game in Sauoarkrokur against 4th ranked Tindastoll (6-4). Second ranked Thor Thorl had an easy win 109-66. The game without a history. Thor Thorl led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Strangely Tindastoll outrebounded Thor Thorl 44-32 including a 21-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Tindastoll's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Glynn Watson Jr (185-97, college: Nebraska) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points, 5 rebounds, 12 assists and 6 steals. Danish forward Daniel Mortensen (204-94, college: Barry) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five Thor Thorl players scored in double figures. American guard Javon Bess (198-96, college: St.Louis) replied with 16 points and 5 rebounds and British-Irish forward Taiwo Badmus (201-93, college: UVA Wise) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Tindastoll. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains second position with 8-2 record behind leader Keflavik. Tindastoll at the other side keeps the fourth place with four games lost. They share the position with Grindavik and Valur. Thor Thorl are looking forward to face Grindavik (#4) at home in the next round. Tindastoll will play against Thor AK in Akureyri and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
