Not a big story in a game in Vigo where 16th ranked Maresme (1-14) was outplayed by eleventh ranked Celta Zorka (7-8) 65-45 on Friday. It was a great evening for American forward Maggie Mulligan (189-95, college: UMass) who led her team to a victory scoring 16 points and 8 rebounds. Russian power forward Maria Davydova (190-93, college: FIU) helped adding 10 points and 15 rebounds. Celta Zorka's coach Cristina Cantero used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was Serbian forward Adrijana Knezevic (183-87) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Paula Lopez (163-99, college: Lakehead) scored 5 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Celta Zorka moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Paterna. Maresme lost their fourth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Celta Zorka will meet at home Paterna (#9) in the next round. Maresme's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Barcelona Barca CBS.
