Regular Season Round 14: Lucenec - Iskra Svit 84-60

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Lucenec (8-6) crushed at home 7th ranked Iskra Svit (5-9) 84-60 on Saturday. They outrebounded Iskra Svit 36-20 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Lucenec especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.1 percentage. American players dominated the game. Guard Desure Buie (179-97, college: Hofstra) notched 22 points and 6 assists to lead the effort and forward Taylor Johns (201-94, college: UC Riverside, agency: Slash Sports) supported him with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Four Lucenec players scored in double figures. Even 18 points and 5 rebounds by swingman Ian Edward Kinard (203-97, college: SC State) did not help to save the game for Iskra Svit. Point guard AJ Walton (184-90, college: Baylor) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lucenec moved-up to third place. Loser Iskra Svit keeps the seventh position with nine games lost. Lucenec will meet league's leader Levice on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Iskra Svit will play against Prievidza (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
