The most surprising game was the first loss of undefeated Kutaisi (7-1) in Tbilisi on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by sixth ranked Titebi (4-4) 91-79. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Kutaisi. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 12 points. Titebi made 23-of-26 free shots (88.5 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American guard Isaac Asrat (188-97, college: LCU) who led his team to a victory with 26 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. His fellow American import power forward Javion Ogunyemi (207-95, college: Siena) contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners. American forward Jarvis Ray (198-90, college: TCU) answered with 19 points and the former international point guard Otar Pkhakadze (188-93, college: Simpson, CA) added 16 points and 7 assists in the effort for Kutaisi. Four Kutaisi players scored in double figures. Titebi moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Batumi. Kutaisi at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. They share it with TSU. Titebi is looking forward to face Batumi (#5) on the road in the next round. Kutaisi will play against Olimpi (#4) and is hoping to win this game.
