There was no surprise in Espoo where 10th ranked HNMKY (1-8) was crushed by third ranked Honka (7-2) 76-56 on Saturday. The game without a history. Honka led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Honka outrebounded HNMKY 53-30 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for guard Riku Korhonen (192-4) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Center Saku Korhonen (199-2) helped adding 12 points and 18 rebounds. Center Henri Mennander (204-3) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and forward Arttu Kumpulainen (191-4) scored 7 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Honka have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with OBA and Raiders. HNMKY lost eighth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with eight games lost. Honka will meet Kataja (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. HNMKY will play against PuHu in Vantaa and hope to win that game.
