Not a big story in a game in Wroclaw where 14th ranked Start (3-12) was defeated by fifth ranked WKS Slask (9-6) 84-76 on Saturday. WKS Slask looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was Turkish Kerem Kanter (207-95, college: Xavier) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Bosnian-Croatian Ivan Ramljak (203-90, agency: PEPI SPORT) chipped in 11 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Jimmie Taylor (208-95, college: Alabama) who recorded 17 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import Elijah Wilson (193-94, college: Coastal) added 20 points respectively. Five WKS Slask and four Start players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. WKS Slask have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 9-6 record. Start lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 12 games lost. They share it with GTK Gliwice. WKS Slask will meet at home Enea Zastal (#8) in the next round. Start will play against the league's leader Anwil (#1) in Wloclawek and hope to secure a win.
