Not a big story in a game in Santiago de Compostela where 11th ranked Rosalia (4-8) was defeated by fourth ranked Unicaja (9-3) 63-46 on Saturday. Unicaja outrebounded Rosalia 46-34 including 16 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was power forward Veronica Matoso (185-88) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Cristina Ugochukwu chipped in 8 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Paula Rivas (-0) who recorded 5 points and 10 rebounds and Canadian forward Catherine Traer (185, college: Carleton) added 10 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Unicaja maintains fourth position in Group A with 9-3 record. Rosalia lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Melilla. Unicaja will meet at home Cortegada (#9) in the next round where they are favorite. Rosalia will play against Cordoba and hope to secure a win.
