Very expected game when 8th ranked Hogsbo 2 (2-6) lost to third ranked Djurgarden (7-1) in Goteborg 96-109 on Saturday. Djurgarden forced 23 Hogsbo 2 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Niklas Herring (182-99) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. Serbian Filip Bogdanovic (-99) accounted for 12 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winning side. Swingman Herman Kihlman (198-4) came up with 25 points and forward Jesper Hallberg (201-95) added 14 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Hogsbo 2 in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hogsbo 2's coach Thomas Stansfield rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Djurgarden. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Eskilstuna and Huddinge. Newly promoted Hogsbo 2 keeps the eighth place with six games lost. They share the position with AIK 2 and SBBK. Djurgarden's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Stockholm KFUM Fry. 2.
