Regular Season Round 14: Komarno - Prievidza 92-81

Bottom-ranked Prievidza is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their 12th consecutive match to second ranked Komarno (10-3) 92-81 on Saturday evening. Komarno forced 20 Prievidza turnovers. Serbian forward Vuk Djordjevic (203-99) notched 28 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and American guard Jorden Duffy (185-96, college: N.Texas) supported him with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Komarno's coach Zlatko Jovanovic used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds by American center Tyler Creammer (208-97, college: VMI) did not help to save the game for Prievidza. Canadian forward Alonzo Walker (198-96, college: Portland St.) added 17 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the guests. Four Komarno and five Prievidza players scored in double figures. Komarno have an impressive nine-game winning streak. Newly promoted Komarno maintains second position with 10-3 record behind leader Levice. Loser Prievidza still closes the standings with 12 games lost. Komarno will meet at home Handlova (#6) in the next round. Prievidza will play against Iskra Svit and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
