Very important is a road loss of third ranked Tychy (11-4) against fourth ranked Gornik (12-4) on Saturday night. Visiting Tychy was defeated by Gornik in a tough game in Walbrzych 85-92. The winners were led by guard Jan Malesa (187-99) who scored that evening 22 points and 5 rebounds and the former international center Piotr Niedzwiedzki (210-93) supported him with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Even 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists by point guard Piotr Wieloch (182-94) did not help to save the game for Tychy. Forward Kacper Makowski (196-99) added 15 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Four Gornik and five Tychy players scored in double figures. Gornik moved-up to third place. Tychy lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. Gornik will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tychy will play against the league's second-placed Kotwica (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
