Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Livorno Libertas (6-7) were defeated on the road by second ranked Vigevano (11-2) 81-75 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Vigevano looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Power forward Gianluca Giorgi (200-95) fired 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Filippo Rossi (193-97) chipped in 16 points and 5 assists. Four Vigevano players scored in double figures. Point guard Antonello Ricci (190-92) produced 25 points and 6 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and the former international swingman Andrea Casella (195-90) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Vigevano maintains second place in B with 11-2 record behind leader Roseto, which they share with Cremona. Loser Livorno Libertas keep the seventh position with seven games lost. Vigevano will meet Cecina (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Livorno Libertas will have a break next round.
