The most surprising game was the first loss of Milano (11-1) on the court of fifth ranked Trieste on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by Trieste 71-68. It ended at the same time the 11-game winning streak of Milano. Trieste made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. 25 personal fouls committed by Milano helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Israeli Adrian Banks (191-86, college: Arkansas St.) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 5 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and the former international forward Fabio Mian (196-92) who added 10 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Ghanian-American Ben Bentil (204-95, college: Providence) with 12 points and 6 rebounds and the former international Nicolo Melli (205-91) scored 8 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Trieste (7-5) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Brindisi and Napoli. Milano at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. Trieste is looking forward to face Cremona (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Milano will play against the league's second-placed Virtus BO (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
