Very expected game when 13th ranked Faenza (2-9) lost on the road to sixth ranked Campobasso (7-4) 72-62 on Sunday. Campobasso made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for American swingman Robyn Parks (185-92, college: VCU) who led the winners and scored 19 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Ecuadorian Blanca Quinonez (186-6) accounted for 16 points for the winning side. Nigerian forward Pallas Kunaiyi-Akpanah (188-97, college: Northwestern, agency: LBM Management) came up with 13 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Jori Davis (176-89, college: Indiana) added 14 points and 4 steals respectively for Faenza in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Campobasso moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Lucca. Faenza lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth position with nine games lost. Campobasso will meet San Giovanni (#7) in the next round. Faenza will play against San Martino (#8) in San Martino di L and hope to secure a win.
