No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Lublin (7-2) beat at home 6th ranked Bydgoszcz (5-5) 90-74 on Sunday. Lublin looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Kamiah Smalls (178-98, college: JMU, agency: LBM Management) who led the winners and scored 23 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. Serbian point guard Aleksandra Stanacev (167-94) accounted for 13 points and 12 assists for the winning side. Lublin's coach Krzysztof Szewczyk used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American center Jillian Alleyne (190-94, college: Oregon, agency: LBM Management) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Swedish swingman Nathalie Fontaine (188-93, college: Ball St., agency: LBM Management) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Bydgoszcz in the defeat. Four Lublin and five Bydgoszcz players scored in double figures. Lublin moved-up to second place. Loser Bydgoszcz keeps the sixth position with five games lost. They share it with Gorzow Wlkp. and Sosnowiec. Lublin will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Bydgoszcz will play against Katarzynki (#10) and hope to secure a win.
