The biggest surprise of round 10 in Winner League was guest Maccabi Tel-Aviv's (7-3) road victory over Galil Elion (#4) 88-84 on Sunday evening. 25 personal fouls committed by Galil Elion helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Croatian center Ante Zizic (209-97, agency: BeoBasket) fired a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners. The former international forward Jake Cohen (209-90, college: Davidson) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Maccabi Tel-Aviv's coach Giannis Sfairopoulos used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American swingman Chavaughn Lewis (195-93, college: Marist, agency: BeoBasket) produced 22 points and 4 assists and international Nimrod Levi (208-95) added 17 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Defending champion moved-up to second place. Newly promoted Galil Elion dropped to the third position with four games lost. They share it with H.Holon and Bnei Hertzeliya. Maccabi Tel-Aviv's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tel-Aviv Hapoel Tel-Aviv.
