No shocking result in a game when first ranked Slovenian Celje (10-1) crushed at home 5th ranked Serbian Partizan (2-8) 105-57 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Celje led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Partizan's 28. Celje forced 26 Partizan turnovers and outrebounded them 52-25 including a 24-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Katrina Pardee (175-97, college: WVU) who led the winners and scored 22 points and 8 rebounds. Brazilian forward Isabela Lyra (180-94) accounted for 19 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Jovana Boricic (179-3) came up with 11 points and 5 rebounds and Marina Davinic (173-2) added 6 points and 5 assists respectively for Partizan in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Celje. Defending Slovenian champion maintains first place with 10-1 record. Loser Partizan keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. They share it with KAM Basket.
