ProA U21 top team - ASVEL (12-0) had no problems winning another game on Thursday. This time they crushed fifteenth ranked Monaco (2-10) 100-79. ASVEL made 27-of-34 free shots (79.4 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. 27 personal fouls committed by Monaco helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Romain Parmentelot (190-4) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 5 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals. Gambian center Babacar Mbye (212-2) contributed with 23 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Monaco guard Nils Gasser (178-1) answered with 19 points and 6 rebounds and forward Matys Pommier (196-2) added 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Monaco. Five ASVEL and four Monaco players scored in double figures. Monaco's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. ASVEL have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. They maintain first place with 12-0 record. Monaco lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventeenth position with ten games lost. ASVEL are looking forward to face Limoges CSP (#6) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Monaco will play against Fos-Provence (#11) in Fos-sur-Mer and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
