Very important is a road loss of second ranked SIG Strasbourg (8-4) against tenth ranked JDA Dijon (7-6) on Thursday night. Visiting SIG Strasbourg was defeated by JDA Dijon in a tough game in Dijon 88-97. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of SIG Strasbourg. Trinidad and Tobago-American Khadeen Carrington (193-95, college: Seton Hall) stepped up and scored 28 points (made all of his eight free throws) for the winners and American point guard David Holston (173-86, college: Chicago St.) chipped in 23 points and 7 assists. Four JDA Dijon players scored in double figures. At the losing side Bosnian-American point guard John Roberson (180-88, college: Texas Tech) responded with 20 points and 5 assists and guard Jean-Baptiste Maille (190-93) scored 15 points (perfect from the field making all six shots). Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for JDA Dijon. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Limoges CSP. SIG Strasbourg at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. They share it with Monaco. JDA Dijon will play against bottom-ranked Cholet Basket (#18) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. SIG Strasbourg will play against JSF Nanterre (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
