Regular Season Round 11: H.Galil Gilboa - Bnei Hertzeliya 82-94
Date: December 27, 2021
Very predictable result when fourth ranked Bnei Hasharon (7-4) won against 9th ranked Galil Gilboa (4-7) in Rosh Pina 94-82 on Monday. Bnei Hasharon looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American Chris Babb (196-90, college: Iowa St.) who led the winners and scored 33 points (!!!). His fellow American import power forward Chinanu Onuaku (207-96, college: Louisville) accounted for 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Naturalized American Michael Brisker (184-98) came up with 23 points and 5 rebounds and British-American power forward Sacha Killeya-Jones (212-98, college: NC State) added 20 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Galil Gilboa in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Galil Gilboa's coach let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Bnei Hasharon have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Maccabi T-A and H.Holon. Galil Gilboa lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with seven games lost. They share it with H.Beer Sheva and H.Eilat. Bnei Hasharon will meet at home league's second-placed Maccabi Tel-Aviv in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Galil Gilboa will play against Hapoel Haifa (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
