Very predictable result when fourth ranked Ashdod (7-4) edged at home bottom-ranked Hertzeliya (2-9) 74-71 on Friday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Ashdod made 18-of-19 free shots (94.7 percent) during the game. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was guard Victoria Vivians (185-94, college: MSU) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Allison Hightower (178-88, college: LSU) chipped in 11 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Ashdod players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Brittany Brown (173-95, college: FSU) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points, 14 rebounds, 9 assists and 8 steals and forward Kristen Simon (188-95, college: USC) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Ashdod have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Ramat H. Hertzeliya lost third consecutive game.
