Very important is a road loss of second ranked Hapoel Holon (8-5) against eleventh ranked Hapoel Eilat (5-7) on Saturday night. Visiting Hapoel Holon was crushed by Hapoel Eilat in Eilat 85-60. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Hapoel Holon. Hapoel Eilat players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Joaquin Shuchman (191-95) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 8 rebounds. International point guard Roi Huber (188-97) contributed with 15 points and 8 assists for the winners. Five Hapoel Eilat players scored in double figures. American center Steve Zack (211-92, college: La Salle) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and international Rafi Menco (199-94, agency: Avi Zilberman) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Hapoel Holon. Hapoel Holon's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Hapoel Eilat have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to ninth place. Hapoel Holon at the other side dropped to the third position with five games lost. They share it with Maccabi T-A and H.Galil Elion. Hapoel Eilat will play against higher ranked Hapoel Haifa (#8) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hapoel Holon will play against Hapoel Tel-Aviv (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
