Regular Season Round 12: Stjarnan - Njardvik 97-77

The most important game in the last round took place in Stjarnan between third ranked Njardvik (8-4) and eighth ranked Stjarnan (6-5) on Monday night. Njardvik was crushed by Stjarnan on the road 97-77. The game was mostly controlled by Stjarnan. Njardvik managed to win third quarter 27-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Stjarnan dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Njardvik's 20. Five Stjarnan and four Njardvik players scored in double figures. Stjarnan have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place. Njardvik at the other side dropped to the second position with four games lost. They share it with Thor Thorl. Stjarnan are looking forward to face IR (#10) in Reykjavik in the next round. Njardvik will play at home against Thor AK (#12) and is hoping to win this game.
