Regular Season Round 16: SMS PZKosz - Notec Inowr. 52-70

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Notec Inowr. (13-2) beat 8th ranked SMS PZKosz (5-10) in Wladyslawowo 70-52 on Wednesday. Notec Inowr. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The winners were led by point guard Aleksander Filipiak (185-90) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 11 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists and Mikolaj Grod (194-89) supported him with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Notec Inowr. players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 14 points and 19 rebounds by center Piotr Winkowski (208-3) did not help to save the game for SMS PZKosz. Guard Igor Krzych (183-3) added 17 points for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Notec Inowr. have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 13-2 record having just one point less than leader Poznan, which they share with Zubry and LKS Lodz. Loser SMS PZKosz dropped to the tenth place with ten games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. Notec Inowr. will meet at home Politechnika Gd. (#14) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. SMS PZKosz will play against Tarnovia (#6) in Tarnowo Podgorne and hope to secure a win.
