Regular Season Round 16: MKS DG 2 - Iskra Cz 115-78

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked MKS DG 2 (11-4) crushed 11th ranked Iskra Cz (5-11) in Dabrowa Gornicza 115-78 on Wednesday. MKS DG 2 dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Iskra Cz's 42 and made 30-of-34 free shots (88.2 percent) during the game, while Iskra Cz only scored six points from the stripe. MKS DG 2 forced 22 Iskra Cz turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. The winners were led by point guard Wiktor Rajewicz (180-0) who scored that evening 31 points, 6 assists and 4 steals (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and power forward Przemyslaw Paduch (201-3) supported him with 24 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). MKS DG 2's coach Wojciech Wieczorek felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 24 points and 11 rebounds by guard Jaroslaw Fomiczow (192-94) did not help to save the game for Iskra Cz. Guard Adam Michalak (191-0) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. MKS DG 2 moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Iskra Cz keeps the eleventh position with 11 games lost. MKS DG 2 will meet Wisla Krakow (#9) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Iskra Cz will play against Rybnik and hope to secure a win.
