Regular Season Round 16: Zabok - Cibona 83-73

The most important game in the last round took place in Zabok between third ranked Cibona (11-5) and seventh ranked Zabok (7-8) on Friday night. Cibona was defeated by Zabok on the road 83-73. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Cibona. Zabok made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Jarvis Garrett (182-95, college: URI, agency: GoEmpire Group) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 6 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and forward Jure Gunjina (203-92, college: GSW, agency: SLN) who added 16 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side the former international swingman Mateo Dreznjak (195-99) responded with 14 points and 9 rebounds and the former international point guard Kresimir Radovcic (195-97) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Four Cibona players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zabok maintains seventh position with 7-8 record. Cibona at the other side keeps the third place with five games lost. Zabok are looking forward to face higher ranked Gorica (#5) in Velika Gorica in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Cibona will play at home against Skrljevo and is hoping to win this game.
